News: L2P Featured At Center For Architecture and Design / by L2P Company News

We are excited to have three of our projects on display as part of the AIA Design Awards Exhibition located at the Center for Architecture and Design this year. Each year, AIA Philadelphia hosts a showcase of local firm's work, which gives the public an opportunity to learn about the hard work each firm dedicates to improving our built environment. Traditionally, this exhibit is hosted at The Rotunda at Liberty Place, however, this year its is being shown at the Center for Architecture and Design - the home of AIA Philadelphia.

As soon as you enter the exhibit, L2P is on display. Our urban multi-family residential project, Wellshaus, is hanging on one of the central displays. The project itself is located at the intersection of Northern Liberties and Fishtown along Delaware Avenue. The program, 500 living units combined with retail space, is divided across the long, narrow site into a high-rise tower to the north, a 5-story low-rise to the south, and park and retail space spanning between the two.

Located on the other side of the central display you will find two more of our projects: 3535 Market Street Renovation and the recently completed office building, Brandywine 63535 Market, currently in the works and planned for completion next year, is a renovation of an existing office building in the University City section of Philadelphia. The original building was constructed in the 1970's and has undergone a few renovations throughout the past 50 years, most recently in 1998. At the time, many buildings in Philadelphia were renovating their bases, primarily cladding them in polished stone and trending finishes of the time. Our renovation is removing these highly stylized additions returning the building to its original intent. Complimenting this return to the past, we are also inserting a new two-toned metal panel canopy.
