The client was looking to make a significant cultural change within their organization. Previously in very traditional office space, the client wanted their new space to be open, flexible and transparent. The real estate and design team worked closely during the schematic phase to evaluate several candidate locations. Ultimately, the site aligned closely with the client's overall project goals. The design of the space is intended to highlight the views of the surrounding countryside and allow all employees access to natural light. Private offices are minimized and the majority are pulled to the interior of the space.
The workstations are arranged in an organic pattern to promote circulation. The main feature of the space is the Reception, Conference and Café hub. Use of glass front walls, an elegant color palette and simple forms promotes transparency and collaboration and unifies the space. With the ability to have all-staff meetings and gatherings, advanced A/V capabilities and access to the exterior patio, the Café is truly the heart of the space.
